FRIENDS of Northcliffe Park group is holding a wildflower walk on June 1. Meet at 2pm in the NEET car park for a two-hour leisurely stroll identifying flowers and grasses.
The next planning meeting is Monday, June 17, which is a change from its usual second Monday, at Shipley Bowling Club.
For those involved in conservation, the midweek group is going to move to the 4th Tuesday in each month over the summer. Therefore, the meeting dates will be June 25, July 23 and August 27, with the usual slots of 10am to 12pm and 12.30pm to 2.30pm, meeting at the allotment clubhouse.
Each week there will be sessions to clear the balsam, some beech sapling removal and work on the wildlife area in the developing community space.
Evening balsam-pulling sessions are likely to be held in July.
