SALTAIRE has been witnessing a busy bank holiday weekend as hundreds of people poured in to enjoy the Saltaire Inspired’s 12th arts trail event.

Artists from all over the country took part through an invitation system and filled the Victoria Hall, as well as the United Reformed Church and Methodist Church, the upper floor of Salts Mill and 19 further homes and offices around the village.

Lolo Moreno opened her home, in Titus Street, for the fifth year to exhibit her crochet work alongside artists Sarah Harris and Anna Tosney.

“It has been very good. A lot of people have been in to see our work,” said Ms Moreno.

Saltaire Inspired chairman Julia Calver said: “We are delighted with the arts trail. It just gets better and better and brings people here from all over. People are exhibiting from as far away as Glasgow, Kent and London and visitors from all over say they make a special journey to see us. The quality is wonderful and everyone who exhibits, support us because they want to be here.”

The three-day event concludes tomorrow (Monday) at 5pm and includes children’s activities.

The event opens at 10am.
