Two Bradford takeaways previously given a zero rating for food hygiene have cleaned up their act.

The Odsal Takeaway, on Smith Avenue, BD6, has been reinspected and given a rating of 4 - the second highest possible.

And Clayton's Catch on Clayton Lane, BD7 - whose owner told the T&A their rating had been due to the inspectors calling at 'the worst possible time' - has since closed down.

Its premises are currently being renovated and will reopen under new management as Websters of Clayton. The new business is awaiting inspection.

This means only four Bradford premises remain in the unenviable position of having a zero hygiene rating.

Two of those - Solly Food Store on Leamington Street, BD4 and the Brown Cow pub on Millgate, Bingley - have been recently reinspected with their new ratings to be published soon.

The two remaining zero-rated premises on the list are the Kaykashan Roti House in BD8 and the New Jubilee Chinese takeaway on Sticker Lane.
