HOMES and businesses across Saltaire will be opening their doors to art lovers this weekend.

The annual Saltaire Arts Trail begins tomorrow and will turn the village into a living art gallery for three days.

Highlights include the Open Houses events, where local artists display their works in a number of the World Heritage Site’s historic houses. Numerous businesses will also host works.

Over 100 artists will be displaying work in a number of different media, and many of the items will also be for sale.

The houses are open from 10am to 5pm on all three days of the bank holiday weekend, and a map of participating homes are available at the event.

A makers’ fair will be held in Victoria Hall on all three days with over 70 exhibitors.

There will be exhibitions by Saltaire Art Group and Leeds Photographic Society, as well as a postcard exhibition in the United Reform Church.

A numbers of arts workshops and family events are being held through the village over the weekend.

The event is run by Saltaire Inspired, the group that runs the village’s Living Advent Calendar.
