A CITY centre bank building will undergo a major refurbishment after new plans were approved.
Bradford Council has granted planning permission for the replacement of the upper floor windows of the Yorkshire Bank on Broadway.
The application was part of a wider planned refurbishment “to prolong the useful life of the building in the context of current banking practice.”
The application said the plans were drawn up after an audit of the building. It adds: “This proposal affords the opportunity to enhance and secure the future of an existing bank building in Bradford Town Centre in a style and setting sympathetic to the area yet largely invisible to the casual passer by.”
The plans were approved this week.
