PLANS to replace the roof of a fire damaged warehouse have been approved to Bradford Council.
Work can now begin to repair the building on Vulcan Street, Dudley Hill, which is part of John Sylvester Ltd - a company that creates fasteners and plastics.
The building's roof was badly damaged in a fire several years ago, and has left the warehouse "unusable" since.
The approved application was for a new monopitch roof to be built and for the building, which is linked to the company's main warehouse building, to be fully refurbished.
The planning application said: "The space within the warehouse has not been usable because of the unsafe nature of the roof and the intended works will allow the space to be used once again for warehouse and distribution."
Approving the scheme, planning officers said: "The National Planning Policy Framework does support sustainable development and opportunities to assist in creating a stronger economy and additional employment opportunities through appropriate development and so the proposal is considered acceptable in the light of this national guidance."
