WEST Yorkshire saw a significant increase in recorded homicides in the year ending December 2018, showing a rise of 69 per cent compared to the previous year, according to the Office for National Statistics.
There were worrying figures elsewhere too, with violent crime and robbery up 32 per cent, as well as a 20 per cent growth in knife crime.
