TANKS will be rolling into Hunsworth.
More than 400 military vehicles will be trundling into the 64 acre site in Hunsworth Lane for this year's Yorkshire Wartime Experience.
Now in its eighth year, the show - on July 6 and 7 - features many highlights including a Battle of Britain Memorial flypast by a Douglas C47 Dakota on the Saturday; the firing of 25 pounder guns in the main arena by The Royal Artillery; a full-scale replica of a First World War aeroplane along with re-enactment groups and some Second World War iconic tanks.
The site also boasts what is understood to be the largest re-creation of a First World War trench in England.
More than 100 stalls will be pitching up during the event which, according to organiser Stuart Wright, has been rated as the second biggest military show in England.
Last year the show attracted around 12,000 and Stuart credits the show's success down to those involved who help to make it happen every year.
