THE owner of Bradford's Pub of the Year for 2019 has spoken of his pride at receiving the award from CAMRA.

Keith Wildman runs the Record Café, which has been a mainstay on North Parade in Bradford city centre for years.

Offering an array of hand-pumped cask ales, lagers, cans and bottles and an extensive gin list, as well as cured meats, snacks, and a record store on its first floor which boasts a variety of musical genres and some rare items, the bar has proved a hit with the Bradford public since it opened in 2014.

It has been named the overall winner of Pub of the Year by the Bradford branch of the Campaign for Real Ale.

It is the second time the venue has won the award, after picking up the prize in 2017, and it was also named runner up in 2018.

Keith Wildman, Record Café owner, said: "We were delighted to receive the news a couple of weeks ago, that we're Bradford CAMRA's Pub of the Year for 2019.

"It's the second time we've won this award, and we were the runners up last year, so it's great to know that our strive towards consistency is working.

"To be listed amongst the previous winners is a real privilege. Places we've looked up at and drank in.

"A huge thank you to everyone who's worked so hard at The Record Café this year, and a bigger thank you to those of you that have supported us."
