POLICE are guarding the entrance of a Bradford city centre bank.
The officers can be seen outside the Halifax on Bank Street.
One member of the public said there had been an attempted robbery at around 9.50am.
It's understood the bank will be closed for the rest of the day.
A West Yorkshire Police spokesperson said: "Police are investigating report of attempted robbery at a bank on Bank Street, Bradford at 9.45am this morning.
"A woman in her 30s was arrested from the scene on suspicion of attempted robbery.
"No one was injured. Enquiries remain ongoing at the scene.
"Anyone with information is asked to contact police on 101, quoting reference 13190234085."
