MORE than 1,000 visitors attended Bradford Industrial Museum’s annual Grand Day Out celebrations where they were treated to over 30 model aircraft from the Keighley and District Model Aircraft Club.

The museum, in Moorside Road, holds the event each May bank holiday and chooses a different theme each year.

“This particular event fitted in well with out model mania exhibition. There were lots of different aircraft models in different sizes for people to see and there were also two flight and flying simulators for people to have a go at flying,” said assistant curator Lauren Padgett.

“It has been really popular and everyone has enjoyed it.”

Elsewhere there were street games outdoors.

Inside the museum, there were weaving demonstrations in the weaving gallery by the Bradford Guild of Spinners, Weavers and Dyers.
