A FIRE crew from Cleckheaton was one of three pumps which attended a fire in a commercial premises with flats above in Oxford Street, Batley, this morning.
The callout was made at 5.05am and was initially to a call of a fire alarm sounding.
A further call stated this was a fire in a commercial premise with flats located above.
The fire involved a fridge and affected 20 per cent of the ground floor of the property. Residents from the flats were alerted to the fire and were all out of property prior to arrival of fire service.
Crews used three hose reels, six breathing apparatus and a high powered fan to clear building of smoke.
Two pumps from Dewsbury and one from Cleckheaton attended.
