WORK has started on the new Pizza Express restaurant on Broadway.
Internal works were underway this week with machinery and works busy in the unit below The Light cinema.
Pizza Express announced it will be opening a 152-seat restaurant on Broadway in the city centre later this year.
It will be in a 3,000sqft unit that has been empty since the cinema opened last May.
The restaurant chain applied to Bradford Council for a licence to sell alcohol in April.
If approved, the branch will be able to serve alcohol between 11.30am and 11pm on Sunday to Thursday, and from 11.30am to 11.30pm on Friday and Saturday. The application is also for "Late night refreshment" - required when food will be served after 11pm - until 11.30pm and midnight on Friday and Saturday.
