The Telegraph & Argus has been in court for every day of the long-running trial which resulted in Mohammed Nisar 'Meggy' Khan and Tony Grant being jailed for life for the murder of Amriz 'Major' Iqbal and conspiracy to pervert the course of justice. Khan was also found guilty of attempted murder.

Their accomplice Salman Ismail was jailed for 17 years for conspiracy to pervert the course of justice and arson, while a fourth defendent, Nadeem Khan, was cleared of conspiracy to pervert the course of justice midway through the trial at the direction of the judge.
