BRADFORD businessman Adbul Satar is co-ordinating the sale of cakes during Ramadan to raise funds for Bradford Community Kitchen.

Abdul Satar, who runs The Office Furniture Company, at Carlisle Business Centre, is one of the founders of the community kitchen which serves food to the homeless and vulnerable each Sunday from the Millside Centre, in Grattan Road.

For the past two years Mr Satar has helped co-ordinate the selling of the cakes throughout Ramadan - from May 5 to June 4 - to raise money for an orphanage in Pakistan. Last year the total sales and donations raised almost £53,000.

This year the proceeds will go towards the community kitchen.
