FORMER pupils of Grange School have raised a toast to the late T&A columnist Keith Thomson, who was their headteacher, at a reunion.
The 'Grangers' school reunion is held every year at Bradford's Fighting Cock pub and this year's event was held last week, shortly after Mr Thomson died, aged 82, following an illness.
"Keith Thompson was an amazing teacher and gentleman and was much respected by all of us," said Karen Summers, one of the class of 1981 at the reunion. "We travel from as far as France, Scotland, Kent, Goole, as well as Bradford and Leeds, and meet up on the same weekend every year at the Fighting Cock," she added.
Mr Thomson wrote the T&A's Envirowatch column since 2007 and was treasurer of Bradford Metropolitan Food Bank.
