THE most talented computing and IT students from across Yorkshire will descend on Bradford College this Friday.
They will be taking part in the regional heats of the WorldSkills UK contest, hoping to follow in the footsteps of Bradford's Hamza Kumran, pictured, who won the heats last year and competed in the national finals.
Winners will go to the national finals in Birmingham in November.
Steven Clay, computing lecturer, said: "“WorldSkills competitions are the gold standard of skills excellence.
"They inspire young competitors to reach new heights, helping them turn their passion into a profession.
“We hosted the heats last year and are excited to be doing so again in 2019.
“We will have 12 of our own students taking part, and last year two of our students successfully made it through to the finals in Birmingham and it would be wonderful to have Bradford College represented in this year’s final too."
