A PUB has suffered hundreds of pounds worth of damage after its windows were smashed twice in two weeks.

Thugs targeted Percy Vear’s, at the junction of South Street and Aireworth Street, in Keighley. A spokesman for the pub said: “We’ve had the windows boarded up after the latest attack and it might have to stay like that for about a week.

“After the first time it cost us £600 for new windows, only for them to be smashed again. Everyone is in shock.”

The pub was hit at 1.44am on April 11 when bricks were used to shatter three ground floor windows.

The windows were replaced, only for vandals to return at 2.55am last Friday. (April 26) They used bricks to again wreck the ground floor windows, and also an upstairs window.

A police spokesman confirmed: “Enquiries are continuing to establish if this most recent incident on April 26, is linked to the earlier attack.
