Bradford’s traffic cops are no strangers to chasing down some serious horse power.
But when the call-out came to the M606 tonight, it wasn’t a Golf R, Lamborghini or Audi RS they were asked to pursue.
Instead, it was the old-fashioned type of horse power that was causing the problem.
Several horses had escaped from their field and there were fears they might hurdle their way on to the city’s motorway.
Police and officers from Highways England tracked down the wandering animals in the car park of the Astonish business, which is visible from the motorway.
Traffic Dave tweeted: “Deployed by @WYP_FCH to assist @HighwaysYORKS Traffic Officers in #Bradford to get a few horses back to their field to prevent them getting onto the #M606 motorway again!”
