A MAN who hacked into his ex-partner's Facebook account and sent naked photos of her to strangers, before posting 30 photos of her onto his own Facebook page, has been jailed for more than two years.

Bradford Crown Court heard how Reece Lupton, 28, of the Salvation Army Hostel, Leeds Road, committed the revenge porn last month after wrongly hearing his ex-partner had been involved with another man.

The crack cocaine addict, who is the father of the woman's two young children, breached two orders when he went round to her house and threatened to "f**king kill her" on March 28.

Prosecutor Abigail Langford told the court the two had been in a relationship for a number of years, but it broke down after he assaulted her at a previous date.

She said: "At around 4.40pm, the complainant was at home with a neighbour, aged 15, and her two children.

"She saw he had distributed naked photos of her on Facebook, and also sent them via Messenger after accessing her password.

"She became concerned he would turn up, and he rang and told her, 'I've just been on the phone to Wrose Taxis and you've been f**king all the drivers', and he turned up one minute later."

The woman ran inside, locking the door and taking everyone into a bathroom. Lupton smashed the kitchen window before climbing through and going upstairs, "shouting and screaming before kicking the bathroom door".

"He said, 'I can't believe you've done this to me, you've got him in there with you'," Ms Langford added.

The victim said she feared for her and her children's lives. Lupton was poking a carving fork through s crack in the door and shouted, "Let me in or I'll f**king kill you," before leaving when police were called.

In mitigation, John Bottomley said Lupton had a troubled upbringing, with both his parents being Class A drug users, mainly being cared for by his grandmother.

Aged 13 he was stabbed in a violent assault, and has been on medication for anxiety ever since.

Mr Bottomley said Lupton rejected drugs until caving to continued offers in August 2018, becoming addicted to crack cocaine which "exasperated his mental health problems", and he was on drugs at the time of the offence.

"This relationship with the complainant has been ongoing for 11 years," Mr Bottomley said, "it is the only meaningful relationship he has ever had.

"He accepts he is a damaged man, and wants help to be a better father for his children."

Record Gavin Doig, said: "You breached a restraining order and non-molestation going to her house, and threatened her in the presence of three children, and published private photos publicly on Facebook."

Lupton received a total sentence of two years and two months for the six offences.
