A SHOCKING photograph released by police has revealed the major damage caused to one of its vehicles after being rammed by criminals.

The marked BMW patrol car has sustained severe damage to the front nearside of the vehicle.

The bumper is damaged, headlights smashed, and a body panel above the wheel arch has been ripped back.

The damage was caused after the car was rammed by another vehicle being driven by criminals in the Frizinghall area overnight.

Trying to see the funny side of the serious incident, West Yorkshire Police's Roads Policing Unit tweeted: "I wonder if the Sergeant will notice?"

Because of this mindless act by criminals in damaging the vehicle, it means this vehicle will now be off Bradford's roads, unable to tackle crime, until it is repaired, all at the expense of the taxpayer.
