SCOTLAND Yard have charged 71 people in connection with the Extinction Rebellion protests, including one from the Bradford district.
They will appear in various London courts over the next few days charged with offences including breach of Section 14 Notice of the Public Order Act 1986, obstructing a highway and obstructing police.
Three others have been charged by British Transport Police and have appeared in court.
The 71 include Joseph Hesmondhalgh, 20, of Hollingwood Gate, Ilkley.
Others from Yorkshire charged in connection with the protests include Patrick Thelwell, 19, of Wycliffe Avenue, York, and Stuart Frost, 39, of Lower Ebor Street, York.
Several people from the north-west are also among those due to appear in court, including Barbara Cookson, 68, of Lawrence Grove, Liverpool, Benjamin Day, 22, of Mildred Street, Salford and Andrea Sawiak, 64, of Redhouse lane, Wirral.
