A DRAMATIC quad bike crash was caught on CCTV in Bradford on Sunday night, with the two riders slamming into railings at speed.

The incident occurred just after 8:30pm outside the Station Hotel pub on Manchester Road.

The CCTV footage shows the bike fly diagonally across the road before hitting the barriers outside the pub.

Remarkably, neither rider is knocked off the quad but one limps away before picking up items from the road.

He puts them in a car behind then gets in the passenger seat as it drives off. The other rider is in front, still on the quad bike.

Footage of the incident started to get shared on Facebook yesterday evening and today, the Telegraph & Argus contacted the Station Hotel for a comment.

The landlady did not want to be named but her boyfriend, David Palmer from West Bowling, said: “People are always speeding down Manchester Road but this is the first time someone has gone into the barriers.

“We actually shut early on a Sunday night so the landlady and I had gone to the members club round the back of us on Clayton Lane.

“We went for something to eat in the town afterwards, then came back past later on, which is when we saw the damage.”

The 56-year-old added: “We chucked some of the debris into the bushes nearby as it was the safest place for it.

“But the railings are still bent over outside and nothing’s been done about them. I’m not entirely sure whether the council know the crash has even happened.”

He said that police had been around to the pub this morning to take some details and the CCTV footage.

The Telegraph & Argus also attended the premises at about 1pm to gain access to the CCTV footage.

A West Yorkshire Police spokesperson said he had asked someone from SRANS (Safer Roads and Neighbourhood Support) to take a look at the video.
