A VACANT site near the former Wapping School site could see a housing development if new plans are approved.
A planning application to build nine homes on Spinkwell Close have been submitted to Bradford Council by Abdul Rauf.
The site, at the end of Prospect Road in Undercliffe, is a long stretch of grassed land adjacent to a residential cul-de-sac.
The houses would be built in two blocks.
Each house will have parking spaces for two cars, and the application says the development would "match and complement the existing property and the wider properties in the area."
A decision on the application is expected in June.
The site is just a short distance from the former Wapping school which has been derelict for several years.
A plan by neighbouring Life Church to demolish that Grade II listed building to make way for an educational building and accommodation were halted last year after Councillors raised concern about the loss of the historic school - home to the first school swimming pool in the country.
The church withdrew the plan, and are re-considering how they use the site.
A decision on the application is expected in June.
