DOG lovers are being urged to sign up for this year's RSPCA Doggy Dash, to take on the run accompanied by their furry friends.

The local RSPCA branch is holding the two kilometre run in partnership with Cancer Research Bradford, Calderdale and Kirklees.

Dog owners can bring their canine friends along to take part in the run for £5 when booked online, or £8 on the day, with all proceeds funding cancer research and the RSPCA in the local area

Fay Gibbons, community fundraiser at the RSPCA, said: "The Doggy Dash For Life is a really special day that brings people and their beloved dogs together to help raise crucial funds for a human and an animal charity.

"Whether you walk, jog or run, it’s the taking part that counts, plus everyone who takes on the Dash will receive a free goody bag and a rosette on completion.

"For those who don’t want to take on the Dash, you can also come along to the Dog Show and still help raise funds for the two charities.

"Every person and every dog are welcome and it’s easy to sign up online, so please register today. This is our seventh Doggy Dash for Life and it’s always a great day out for the whole family and you and your pooch can make a real difference to two wonderful charities."

The run takes place at 11.30am on Sunday, June 2, at Beaumont Park, Huddersfield, and to sign up visit bit.ly/DoggyDashWY
