BRADFORD West MP Naz Shah and Bradford East MP Imran Hussain have taken to Twitter to express their sadness over the bombings in Sri Lanka on Easter Sunday.
Ms Shah wrote: “Standing in solidarity with Christians across the world on their holiest of days #EasterSunday2019 #SriLanka.”
While Mr Hussain added: “ My thoughts and prayers are with the family and friends of all those killed and injured in yesterday’s horrific Easter Sunday attacks in Sri Lanka.”
Anas Altikriti, President of MAB stated: “We express our deepest condolences to the victims and their families during this incredibly difficult time, and to the entire Christian community in Sri Lanka.”
Eight explosions hit locations including churches and hotels leaving at least 290 people dead and 500 injured. Officials say 24 people have been arrested.
Congregations were taking part in Easter Sunday services at the churches when the blasts hit.
