AN underground leak has temporarily shut down the British Heart Foundation's Ivegate store, leaving the charity with just one clothes store remaining in Bradford.

Anyone wanting to donate items is now being directed to the Northgate shop in the City Centre.

Sue Tallant, who works at the BHF, explained: "It was an underground leak which badly flooded the cellar where we do our sorting.

"It happened about 10 days ago and all we want to do is try and let everyone know what's happened.

"It's only temporary but we have no idea when it will be open again as it all needs digging up.

"Thankfully, no stock was really affected but we still desperately want donations.

"A lot of people don't realise but we actually have a free collection service five days a week.

"It's every morning from Monday to Friday and all people need to do is ring up.

"Our driver will then come round and pick up unwanted items like clothes and handbags, free of charge."
