PLANS for major refurbishments to a petrol filling station have been refused due to a “lack of detail.”
A planning application for the filling station at New Line, Greengates, would see the demolition of the existing petrol station, canopy, car wash and below-ground tanks and construction of new petrol filling station, with new shop building, new canopy, below-ground storage tanks and a parking area.
Plans approved for New Line/Harrogate Road junction in Greengates
But this week planning officers refused the application, which was submitted Y Valli. They said the plans were lacking in important details - ranging from the location of the current underground storage tanks to bat surveys.
A report by officers said: “The application as submitted provides insufficient information to enable its proper consideration by the Local Planning Authority.”
Missing details included the elevation of the canopy, details on boundary treatments for the site, the impact on nearby trees and a report on ground conditions.
