A BRADFORD student has won an illustrious literary prize run by national charity First Story.
Jaimie Brown, who is in Year 7 at Titus Salt School in Baildon, was victorious in the First Story 100-Word Story Competition.
Into its fifth year, the competition is open to pupils aged 11 to 18, and 35 schools across the UK took part.
As a prize for winning the competition, Jaimie will receive a pile of prize books, and Titus Salt School's learning resource centre will also receive a bundle of books.
Jaimie's short story will also be professionally printed on specially commissioned postcards.
The First Story competition gives young people the experience of creating a story to a specific brief and potentially a first taste of publication.
