A MAN has been arrested in connection with an attack on a dad in broad daylight.
The 26-year-old was arrested on suspicion of section 18 wounding with intent and has been released on bail.
Father-of-one Jay Bailes, 28, was hit over the head with an iron bar in Cooper Lane as he walked home from a day out in Wibsey Park, on Saturday afternoon.
Window fitter Mr Bailes, of Shelf, was attacked in front of his girlfriend and six-month-old daughter and suffered a fractured skull and forehead, and left Leeds General Infirmary with 12 stitches in his head.
