THE victim of yesterday's shocking iron bar attack near a pub in Shelf yesterday afternoon has been speaking to police in hospital this afternoon and assisting with enquiries.
The 28-year-old was assaulted near the Space4Craft shop and the Prince of Orange Inn car park on Cooper Lane. The attack happened in broad daylight and the ambulance service was called to the scene. They in turn informed the police at 2.53pm.
No arrest has been made in relation to the case as of yet.
A West Yorkshire Police spokesperson said: "Officer PC428 Muskett would like to put out an appeal to anyone who saw or heard anything regarding yesterday's incident outside the Prince of Orange Inn on Cooper Lane."
"People are asked contact her on non-emergency number 101 at Halifax Police Station quoting crime reference number 13190191584."
