INNOVATIVE Bradford accountancy firm, Watson Buckle, has declared that it will spend the next 12 months taking part in and hosting events to raise money for Bradford Neonatal Unit.

The firm, located in Cottingley Business Park, has a long tradition of fundraising and donated £3,000 for the Sue Ryder Manorlands Hospice in 2018.

In 2019, Bradford Hospitals’ Charity’s neonatal fund will be the recipient of Watson Buckle’s year-long charity work.

The Neonatal Unit provides life-saving care to new born babies and supports families whose children are brought to Bradford Royal Infirmary.

Its first major fundraising event for the Neonatal Unit is the Dragon Boat Festival at Roberts Park, which is due to take place on Sunday, June 23 2019.

A team of accountants and advisers from Watson Buckle will compete and hope to raise up to £1,000.

Hayley Collis, Head of Fundraising for Bradford Hospitals’ Charity, said: “We are incredibly grateful to Watson Buckle for supporting our amazing neonatal unit.

“Our hard-working neonatal staff care for more than 500 babies every year and they are committed to providing the very best care and treatment.

“Your donations will help them make a real difference in providing a home-from-home for parents and siblings.”

Selina Armitage, Corporate Services Manager at Watson Buckle, said: “We are very excited to be raising money this year for Bradford Neonatal Unit and can’t wait to take part in the upcoming Dragon Boat Festival.

“We are very committed as a firm to giving back to the local communities that we serve and we felt that the unit does such amazing work to help Bradford’s youngest new residents that they merited being our charity of the year.”
