A FIRE on the roof of unoccupied flats is believed to have been started deliberately, according to the fire service.
A crew from Odsal and another from Fairweather Green were called to the Strensall Green flats, in Buttershaw, at 7.45pm on Wednesday and found a section of roof on fire.
The fire service said some waste in the corner of the building had been set fire to and the small blaze quickly spread to the roof.
Firefighters spent an hour at the scene, but noone was inside the building.
