A CHARITY 24-hour exercise event is taking place later this month to raise money to fund dramatherapy sessions for those in need in Bradford.
Kayle McCoy, a dramatherapist at The British Association of Dramatherapists, has organised the event at the Crossfit 606 gym at the Euroway Industrial Estate, which she regularly attends.
The WOD-athon will take place on Friday, April 19, from 2pm for 24-hours, and any money raised will go to fund free dramatherapy sessions in the city.
There will be a 10 to 25-minute workout every hour, with a family event on the Saturday from 11am to 2pm, with facepainting, balloon modelling, raffle prizes and cakes.
Ms McCoy told the Telegraph & Argus: "I am doing this to raise awareness of dramatherapy. The money raised will go straight back into the local community for those people who couldn't otherwise afford it."
Dramatherapy is a method of working and playing that uses action methods to facilitate creativity, imagination, learning, insight and growth.
