There was no joy for Bingley trainer Sue Smith as her horse Vintage Clouds fell at the first fence in yesterday's Grand National.
Ridden by jockey Danny Cook, the grey was fancied to do well in the big Aintree race at odds of around 12-1.
But he pitched on landing after jumping the obstacle at the head of the 40-runner field.
Thankfully, Vintage Clouds was not injured and Smith - who won the Grand National with 66-1 shot Auroras Encore six years ago - is expected to run him in the Scottish National at Ayr next weekend.
However, Up for Review had to be put down after being brought down at the first fence, becoming the first fatality in the race since 2012.
Tiger Roll raced into the history books as he became the first horse since Red Rum to win back-to-back Nationals.
