TESCO store in Cleckheaton turned pink on Saturday to promote a forthcomign Race for Life event for Cancer Research UK.

This is the 18th year that Tesco has been one of the main sponsors for the event up and down the country.

Twenty five ladies and for the first time men from the store are taking part at the Huddersfield event on the June 30.

To promote the event the store was collecting and raising money by selling pin badges and trolley tokens and some of the store team joined in with an aerobics session with PJ's Health & fitness centre at the front of the store.

The local Slimming World team was also on hand to promote healthy living.

Clare Findlay, store manager, said: "One in two people will get cancer in their lifetime and, sadly, most people will know someone who has been affected. Our aim here at Tesco is to make 2019 the biggest and best Race For Life yet.

"Together we can help Cancer Research UK to save even more lives."
