THERE was a changing of roles at a Bradford primary school recently, as pupils and teachers swapped roles for a day.
The Takeover Day at Green Lane Primary School, Manningham, was held to help pupils think about their aspirations and dreams for the future, and what sort of person they want to be when they grow up.
Roles taken over by pupils including headteacher, teachers, caretaker and kitchen staff.
As part of the day, teachers also rolled back the years and donned a uniform for the first time in years.
Zahid Hassan, who organised the event, said the children were “very enthusiastic” and it was an “exciting day for everybody”, and thanked parents for their support.
A showcase of the Takeover Day, featuring a presentation led by the pupils, is being held today at Manningham Mills between 9am and 10.30am, sharing stories of the day and talking about what they learned from the experience.
