HOUSEHOLDERS across the district are being asked to take part in a survey to shape where future leisure developments are based.

Bradford Council has organised a retail and leisure survey, and until the end of the month WYG will be phoning households to ask where they shop and visit for leisure activities.

The answers will be kept anonymous and the Council says it is “very important in helping to shape the future of the City of Bradford’s centres and the district’s wider retail and leisure facilities.”

The study will form part of the evidence base for the forthcoming Land Allocations Development Plan Document and partial review of the Core Strategy.

It will look at assessing and providing recommendations relating to the health of the centres across the district, along with providing future capacity figures for additional retail and leisure floorspace over the period to 2035.

The survey will run until May 1.
