A 22-year-old student has pleaded guilty to making a threat with a knife at the University of Bradford on January 29.
Carlion McCarmock, of Scholemoor Road, Lidget Green, Bradford, was today warned that he may go to prison when he is sentenced on April 30.
McCarmock admitted having a knife at the university, on Richmond Road in the city, and unlawfully threatening Jay Jay Achebe with it.
His barrister, Rodney Ferm, asked Judge Jonathan Rose, sitting at Bradford Crown Court, to adjourn sentence for the preparation of a report from the probation service.
Mr Ferm said McCarmock was studying at the university at the time but was now suspended.
“He was doing quite well until he was suspended, and it is inevitable that he will not be going back there,” Mr Ferm told the court.
McCarmock was re-bailed on condition that he co-operates with the probation service in the preparation of the report.
Judge Rose told him that granting him bail was no indication of the sentence he would receive.
“All options are open and that very much includes the possibility of you going to prison,” he said.
