THE SKU held its national karate competition in Sheffield, with Keighley-based clubs performing well.

Bismillah Karate Centre attended and Anniyah Zaman gained gold in the mixed brown belt Kata under nine years old category.

Mohammad Aqeeb gained silver in the boys under seven years fighting and Mohammad Kais gained silver in the boys 10-12 years fighting.

Meanwhile, Long Lee Karate Club had a fantastic day with Alfie Roberts collecting gold in the boys' seven years and under.

Jackson Holmes gained gold in the boys' eight to nine years, Paige McLoughlin gold in the girls' 10-12 years.

Isaac Ilyas secured bronze in the 18 years+ all in fighting.

In the team fighting event, Long Lee claimed gold in the eight to nine years Zaeem Ali and Holmes, silver in the boys 10-12 years.

Kaif Hussain and Ibraheem Din and silver in the men's team Isaac Ilyas and Anthony Senior.
