THE charity which runs the Give Bradford campaign has appointed five new people to its board of trustees.

Leeds Community Foundation has appointed the trustees, who are experts in healthcare, property, the environment, education, finance and more.

Carolyn Black from Myddleton Croft, Tom Bridges from Arup, Tony Cook of Leeds City Council, Cleveland Henry from UK Cloud Health and Sharon Orr from Provident Financial have all joined the board.

Katie Hainsworth, chief executive of Leeds Community Foundation, said: “We are delighted to welcome our new trustees.

"They each bring with them a wealth of skills and experience across a number of different sectors. Our new trustees have a clear understanding of the Foundation and will make a valuable contribution in helping us to achieve our vision to create a city of opportunity for all."

Nick Lane-Fox will chair the 14-person board having taken on the role last month from Rachel Hannan.

Carolyn Black is associate director at Myddleton Croft Investment Manager and has worked with charities for more than 15 years.

Tom Bridges is director at Arup and is leader of UK Cities Advisory Practice.

Tony Cooke is chief officer of health partnerships at Leeds Council, and has previous experience in the charitable sector.

Cleveland Henry was until recently programme director at NHS Digital, and is the British Computer Society's associate vice chair.

Provident's Sharon Orr is community affairs manager, and sits on the Give Bradford Steering Group.
