MEMORAID, a dietary supplement for brain health, launched in Bradford’s Holland & Barrett store this month.

It was released by a group of four University of Bradford students in 2015 after years of research and has now been picked up by the national chain.

The quartet, Abraham and Moudy Khodadi and Max and Matthew Hanson - two sets of brothers - all work as pharmacists.

They originally developed the product for the student market, but have now seen how it can be beneficial to older people.

They had seen an increase in requests for brain health advice, following increased reporting in the media around dementia.

The four of them understood how important primary prevention was in reducing their patients’ risk of developing brain diseases.

However, for this to be effective, people had to start being proactive about their brain health earlier rather than later.

The new supplement therefore contains a unique combination of well-researched 15 ingredients, each of which have been formulated to support key aspects of brain functioning: memory, focus, energy and protection.

Those ingredients include extracts of sage, ginkgo, ginseng, and blueberry, Vitamin B Complex, L-Tyrosine, selenium, Vitamin E and Vitamin D. It is also suitable for vegetarians.
