STEPS star Faye Tozer and funnyman Paul Chuckle are unveiled as the stars of this year’s Alhambra pantomime.

They will join Billy Pearce - in his 21st Alhambra panto - in Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs.

Faye Tozer, a finalist in last year’s Strictly Come Dancing, will play the Wicked Queen. For two decades she has been one fifth of pop band Steps, who had more than 20 hit singles and five chart-topping albums - amassing record sales of over 20 million worldwide - and arena tours, showcasing their inimitable style of catchy pop and dance routines. After a hiatus, the group reformed for their 20th anniversary, releasing new material and gaining new fans.

Outside of the ‘Steps-phere’, Faye has carved a musical theatre career, starring in Andrew Lloyd Webber’s one-woman show Tell Me On A Sunday, a UK tour of Me and My Girl and Over The Rainbow, playing the late Eva Cassidy, as well as appearing in several pantomimes. In 2018 Faye competed in BBC1’s hit show Strictly Come Dancing, coupled with Giovanni Pernice.

Paul Chuckle, who will play the Wicked Queen’s Henchman in the panto, is best known as one half of hugely popular double act the Chuckle Brothers. Snow White is Paul’s second panto since the death of his brother and co-star Barry last year. The duo were loved by generations of children for their TV show Chucklevision, making more than 290 episodes.
