A BID has been lodged to extend the Krispy Kreme doughnut drive-through and store at Centre 27 Business Park in Birstall.
Krispy Kreme, which is next to Starbucks and McDonald’s and adjacent to the Showcase Cinema, plans to extend its store into the rear yard area.
The addition will provide the “much-needed additional space to resolve many operational issues relating to storage, deliveries and process of their product which supports an extended network of locations in the North East”.
The plans also include the ultimate refurbishment of the front-of-house retail area.
The application has been lodged with Kirklees Council planners, and a decision is expected by May.
