MOTHER and daughter artists have been running art therapy sessions at Bradford’s Bridge Project.
Artist and art teacher Lynne Dobson, who delivers art in children’s education and as therapy for adults with mental health and addiction problems, has collaborated with her daughter, Kyra, on a five-week art project at the Vault Recovery Cafe at the Bridge Project, which provides a safe, supportive venue for people who are in recovery.
“Some people have never held a paintbrush or pencil before, yet with encouragement and group involvement have discovered hidden talents, producing impressive artwork,” said Lynne. “The artwork includes landscapes using acrylics, abstract textile collages, still life work in pencil, monochrome pastels and pattern making.”
