LITTER was cleared by members of St Matthew's Church in Bankfoot on the first of three clean-ups as part of the Great Bradford Spring Clean.
They joined council wardens on a litterpick at the end of Scholes Street, Bankfoot, which is often plagued with rubbish and broken glass. They will meet again at the church at 5.30 pm on Monday, April 1, and 2pm on Saturday, April 13, to tackle other grotspots in the area – anyone is welcome to take part.
St Matthew’s Curate Hannah Raitt said: ”The people of St Matthew’s Church believe that God loves our local area, and we want to put that love into action by working together with others to make a visible difference to the look and feel of our streets.”
The Great Bradford Spring Clean runs from March 22 to April 23, when residents are invited to get together to do clean ups.
