CREWS from two fire stations were called to a house fire in the early hours of this morning.
Firefighters from Odsal and Fairweather Green were called to the house in Kingswood Street, Great Horton, at 2.30am today.
A neighbour had alerted the fire service because she could smell smoke coming from the house, which was uninhabited.
A spokesperson from Odsal fire station said the fire caused "quite severe damage" to the top floor of the house, and because they had to use hoses to extinguish the blaze water damage had spread through the whole house.
Two hoses and four breathing apparatus were used to tackle the fire, and fans to clear the smoke.
The fire had been caused by an electrical fault.
