The bike that was recovered by police in Girlington
A MAN was arrested after a dumping a stolen bike and trying to run from police.
Officers were patrolling in the Girlington area yesterday when they spotted a motorbike being driven "anti-socially."
When they tried to stop the driver, he dumped the bike and ran away, only for the officers to catch up with him and arrest him.
A police spokesman said: "The driver was arrested for a number of offences and it also transpired that the motorbike was stolen."
