THE boss of a major retailer said its popularity in Bradford offered a “great opportunity” to open a new store.
River Island will soon be opening a new River Island Kids’ store in The Broadway Shopping Centre.
It is the seventh children’s store River Island has opened in the UK and will open in a 3,378sqft unit next to the company’s existing store.
Phil Cooke, Managing Director at River Island, said: “Our kids wear has always proved popular in Bradford, we therefore felt there was a great opportunity to open a store in the city.
“We’re excited to offer customers in Bradford the best shopping experience we can.”
Last year seven new retailers opened in the shopping centre, which opened in November 2015, including Specsavers, Superdrug and Footlocker. Frankies Burgers is due to open a chain in the centre - although an opening date has not yet been announced.
