PUPILS from Horton Grange Primary School and members of Lidget Green Walking Club have created a display of public art for the Spencer Road Playing Fields.
As part of a project to create five pieces of public art, funded by Greenmoor Big Local, members of the community have worked with professional artists including a sculptor and a storyteller to highlight history and show what the area means to them.
Ninety pupils worked with artists from Artworks Creative Communities to create work that reflects how they use the playing fields.
One of the creations was an archway that shows the excitement of getting involved in sport outdoors, including the school’s sports day.
